Happy Friday Storytellers!

Welcome to the end of the week and the end of another Six Word Story Challenge.

This week I left you the prompt of MERCY to practice your storytelling genius on and as you will have seen there were some strong contenders for the title amongst this week’s entries. Click through if you haven’t had chance to read through yet.

Thank you for your continued participation in the challenge, I haven’t had much time to dedicate to the blog over the last month or so and it heartens me to see that the challenge remains as interactive without me there as it does when I show up! I always make sure I set the challenge, organise the poll and announce the winners even if I have no time to comment or write additional posts. I’m so glad you’re all here to carry it forward!

So, without further rambling, the winners are:

Six word story, 6 word story, writing challenge, writing prompt

First place goes to A Writer’s Beginning with her story – ‘Knees buckle, eyes close tight: please.’

Six Word Story Challenge, 6 word story, writing prompt

Second place goes to frankhubeny with his story – ‘Deserving less, he somehow got more.’

Six Word Story Challenge, 6 word story, writing prompt

Third place goes to Sheryl with her story – ‘Tears drenched my euthanized cat’s fur.’

The winners get to download and use one of these highly prized badges for their blog.

Until tomorrow Storytellers.

Nicola x

This six word story challenge is easy to enter and great fun to participate in; it enables writers to use their imagination and interact with one another to compare their ideas. This week, I am delighted to announce that I am the winner of this challenge, having completed by six words inspired by the prompt: “mercy”!

Congrats winners! Great job. The agony of pet loss is terrible. Your story took me right back to when I lost my little dog.
