Happy Friday Storytellers!
It’s gloriously sunny here in the UK which is the only reason to be cheerful in what has been a dark week for humanity.
I am about a hundred miles from Manchester but my maternal agony sits outside the arena with the collective grief of every other parent reading yet another dreadful newsfeed. I struggle to understand the mental processes of someone so assured by their own convictions they could carry out such atrocities. I refuse to give that excuse for a human any space in my head. There’s little point. What I will do is make sure I hug my children a little tighter every night and be thankful they are here with me.
In the spirit of the British ‘stiff upper lip’, the Six Word Story continues uninterrupted but not unaffected. Several of this week’s entries reflected the news stories, as they often do, and you chose your winners accordingly:
This week, the winners are:
First place goes to Barbed Words with the story – ‘Innocent children murdered by evil loser’
Second place goes to RAK with the story – ‘Wicked is good, but slightly bitter.‘
Third place goes to Sheryl with her story – ‘He lied to start the war.’
The winners get to download and use one of these highly prized badges for their blog.
Until tomorrow Storytellers – when there will be the first EVER two word prompt for you!
Don’t forget to connect with me on these social medias so I can keep you up to date with the Six Word Story Challenge through the week!
