How You Complete Me – a poem

You-Complete-Me-dc325-550x413

When stuttering nerves concuss my life
and crippling doubts defeat me,
You bring a calm and logical peace,
That’s how you complete me.

When hesitation halts my growth
and apprehension grieves me,
Your certainty revives my hope,
That’s how you complete me.

When aggitation fogs my brain
and misgivings overcome me,
Your sureness and approval rise,
That’s how you complete me.

As twilight falls and day departs
my qualms sit quiet and few.
I return your love with smitten arms,
That’s how I complete you.

In response to The Daily Post’s prompt of Qualm.
