Recognise – A 50 Word Story 

‘Be invisible’, I told myself. Make yourself small and they won’t see you. Indifference pales me to the background, dispassion blurs them through my smokescreen.

I see him, becoming small. His wretchedness colliding with my cruelly juxtaposed existence. He sees me now, they always do when they come into focus.
