I’m sorry storytellers
Last Friday came and fled.
I meant to post the winners,
But read a book instead.
You really must forgive me
(Although the fault’s my own),
For rarely is the chance on hand
To own the reading zone
I should have thought more of it,
An evening spare to read?
However did the happen?
I should have taken heed.
Never does a mother,
Who works, and cares and cleans,
Have time to sit and linger,
Well, only in her dreams.
So let me beg forgiveness
For my tardy sin of late,
And lay the champ before you
In their magnificence of state!
Last week, I forgot it was Friday. I was so completely engrossed in the book I was reading that I forgot to write the winner’s post. I also forgot to the schedule the new Six Word Story Challenge on Saturday – a week of utter failures you might say!
After Friday and Saturday came and went, it seemed impolite to mention it on Sunday or Monday. Almost like crossing that imaginary line when you’ve known someone too long to ask them their name – it’s just rude!
I will make this right here and now by wrapping up the open challenge.
Last week, I left you the prompt of Thankful and the winners (at Friday 9th December) were:
swritings with the story ‘Thankful the rain hid my tears.’
Weezelle with the story ‘Found out it’s benign, after all.’
trE with her story ‘I could have died. I didn’t.’
Congratulations to all of last week’s winners. As usual, please feel free to download and use one of the below badges on you blog.
Until next time,
