It’s Friday which means it’s the end of this week’s Six Word Story Challenge. It’s also National Smile Day – what other reasons could you possibly need to be happy?
This week I left you the prompt of Epiphany to use as your creative muse and this one could literally have gone in any direction. We had stories with religious themes, tales of unconditional love and real forehead slapping lightbulb moments!
My take on the prompt this week was:
You have no power over me.
I hope avid movie watchers will have recognised this as Sarah William’s epiphany in Labyrinth when she remembers the line from her play and defeats the Goblin King. I loved this movie as a child but didn’t appreciate the distraction of Bowie’s … tights back then!
I hope you enjoyed taking part this week, let’s announce the winners:
This week, first place goes to:
The Poetry Channel with his story ‘He pulled the chute’s cord … nothing.’
Second place goes to:
PatrickSponaugle with his story ‘Nothing had made sense. Until now.’
Third place goes to:
LadiesWhoLunchReviews with her story ‘Important things in life aren’t things…’
Congratulations to all of this week’s winners. As usual, please feel free to download and use one of the below badges on you blog.
Until next time,
