Limerick Challenge – Colour

shock

I’m submitting a limerick to MindandLifeMatters‘ weekly limerick challenge this week after a break of…quite a while.

This week’s prompt is colour and was quite apt as I had just had to explain to my eldest son why a joke he told could be considered to be racist.

So here it is:

There comes a time as a mum,
When you have to explain to your son,
Why his joke is off-colour,
Go think of another,
Perhaps a less risqué one?

Was it difficult explaining to your son?

Very good, and nice flow! I’m imagining an awkward silence as your son, all unsuspecting, tells his joke 🙂

Ah, sons. What’s a mother’s life without at least one?
