Blink – A 50 Word Story


The cursor blinks a rhythm with my tormented heart, neither inspiring nor galvanising a response to his email.

He’d promised the world but delivered misery. Today, my broken spirit revolts, flinging him aside like an irrelevant parasite.

I type my reply, then delete it as the winking cursor mocks me.
