Unrequited Love

Written for Mindandlifematters‘ Limerick challenge. This week’s prompt was dream.

Unrequited Love

I hear your voice and wish you knew,
How you jolt and scare me too.
My heart’s attached,
My soul is matched,
When I sleep, I dream of you.

  1. Good to read that this is true for the majority struck with unrequited love. So apt and concise. Love your writing.

    • Thank you. I’m only just starting to try my hand at poetry. I’ve never really understood it unless it rhymes but, if you don’t try things that challenge and scare you how will you know if you’re any good at it? That’s my theory anyway!
