And the winner is …

Greetings storytellers, welcome to Friday – the window to the weekend and the much anticipated winner’ announcement.

This week I left you with the prompt of Double Cross to challenge your creative neutrons into firing up. Your stories were written from all perspectives – the double crosser, the double crossee and from the point of view of witnesses to the betrayals on show. I loved them all!

There can be only one winner and this week you chose:

James L Dyson with his story ‘Always the quiet ones, I shouted.’

In second place this week is Susan Body Renovations with her story ‘Forever meant something different to you…’.

In third place this week is AngieTrafford with her story ‘Your mistake was believing in me.’

As usual, all winners are entitled to download one of the below badges for display on your blog. They are made for strutting so go forth!

Come back tomorrow when a new prompt will be posted at 9am GMT.

Until next week,

Nicola x

  3. This is such an amazing challenge, and I feel honored to be in the top 3 this week. I am fairly new to this challenge. I love how this gets you to think about each of the words you use to tell a great short story. I find it to be a great way for me to think about how I write my blog posts. Thank you so much Nicola for sponsoring this challenge. There are so many talented writers to learn from. I truly get inspired by everyone that posts.

Great week’s worth of double crosser stories. I just had to click seven or eight of them and there were lots more I thought fit a “winner” category. Thanks for doing this, Nicola.

Well done to everyone again. It never ceases to amaze me how varied the stories are. Some manage to achieve real depth in just 6 words.
