And the winner is…

This week I was excited to find out that the Stellar Story Challenge has been published in The Daily Post’s blog event listings. I shouldn’t be that surprised since I submitted it, but it was warming to know that lots of new friends have been finding their way over to join in our weekly challenges. A warm welcome to everybody!

The prompt I left you last time was memory. I always wonder what angle you’re going to take with your stories and this week was no exception since memory carries such varied meanings. We had stories about forgetfulness, age related dementia and painful separation all the way to the other end of the spectrum with a story about computer memory. You never cease to impress me with your imagination and ability to cram a whole story into just six tiny words.

But, there must always be a winner and this week the victor, as chosen by you, is:

Meriting with his heartbreaking story “Do I know you?” Mum asked.

Second place goes to:

Funsimplicity with her story “Only her footprints, left on Earth.”

Third place goes to:

Whatsandrathinks with her very first entry to the challenge ‘I forced myself to forget you.’

As always, the winners are entitled to download and use one of the below badges on their blog in order to brag about their storytelling genius.

Please drop by tomorrow morning (9am GMT) when the new Sometimes Stellar Storyteller Six Word Story Challenge will be live and waiting for your creative outpourings.

Nicola x

Thank you Nicola, and thanks to all those who voted. A good turn out for this one. Lets hope it continues to grow. Sadly, my story was based on fact rather than imagination. For those in the UK, Google Dementia Friends and learn how to help those living with dementia.
