Limerick Challenge – Breeze

I was thrilled to win last week’s Limerick Challenge hosted by MindandLifeMatters. My thanks go to Rashmi for hosting this fun event. If you haven’t already found this blog challenge, I urge you to pop over and have a go. Don’t make your entry too good though, I’m saving for Christmas and the winner’s gift voucher is gratefully received!

This week, the prompt is Breeze. Since it’s Armictice Day tomorrow, I gave my entry a wartime theme:

The name on her tag said Louise,

On the platform she sank to her knees

The trains came and went,

But no-one was sent,

And her cries flew away on the breeze.
