Getting ready for National Novel Writing Month

I’m going to participate in NaNoWrMo this year, I’ve been a bit slack with my writing schedule this past few weeks.

Is anybody else going to join in? This post was originally posted on Aubrey Lynn Jeppson’s site and offers some tips on making November work for you.

If you are a budding writer and finally want to get that book that’s been inside you on paper, now is the time!  November will be here soon enough and it is known to many writers as NaNoWriMo or National Novel Writing Month.   This will be my third year participating.  Okay, that’s not completely […]

Good luck Nicola! I’m very tempted by this but I know I’m going to have too much going on in November to commit sadly. Hope you have a lot of fun with it and much success 🙂

It’s my 7th year participating. I have a list of over 100 resources to help you plan on my blog if you need some help.

PS why can’t I reply to other comments?

Hi.. I am participating as well. First time and all i cam say is am at my wits end! I get so lost in nanowrimo website that frankly i dont have any idea what this all about except write your story, 30 days! 50k word count. Tats all i know. Currently i hve ideas running in my mind. Every now when i stop to think this is going to be my story it says otherwise Nd i am stuck inside the hollow space of nowhere. Help me if possible!

    • I have t signed up yet but my understanding is the same as yours. You commit to writing a set amount daily to get you to 50,000 words and a first draft at the end. I’m a planner, my advice to you is to have an idea of the story you want to write before 1st November rather than planning your outline in the first week – then write. Every day! Good luck!
