And the winner is…

Thank you to everyone who entered this week’s Sometimes Stellar Storyteller Six Word Story Challenge.

This week’s prompt was surprise and there were some imaginative entries, really causing the creative juices to flow. I want to know more about your stories – who are the characters? What are they after? Maybe one day I’ll see you turn one of these into a longer story.

This week’s clear winner of the Stellar Challenge was Haylee with her story ‘Lifting the hatch, a universe appeared.’

Second place goes to FunSimplicity with her story ‘Lottery! First prize! Me? Really?’ (Even though this entry was submitted in error!). I urge you to visit her blog to see the photo chosen to accompany the story, it’s adorable.

Third place goes to Peterwrites with his story ‘Slowly, very slowly, the coffin opened!’. Unfortunately, I am unable to link to Peter’s blog at the minute, WordPress doesn’t think it exists.

Congratulations to the well deserved winners, each of whom may now proudly display one of the below badges of honour.

I hope to see you all next week for the next Sometimes Stellar Storyteller Six Word Story Challenge.

Congrats to all the winners. I just have a question since I’m new to this. Do you go to a bloggers posted site to see how many voted or just those posted on your site? Thanks for your time in answering this.

  2. Haylee says:

Whoop! Thanks everyone who voted 😀 Now if only I could pick six, equally victorious, numbers, I could go around quoting Funsimplicity’s story…

I’m still confused….I thought your 9/26 prompt was “Surprise”, but it seems that’s over. If you have time, maybe you could clear up my confusion–if not, that’s fine too 🙂

    • I post the prompt on a Saturday morning (UK time) and the challenge usually runs until Sunday morning when I count up the votes and announce the crowd’s favourite.

I think I will be extending this until Sunday evening going forward to allow for time differences though. I hope that helps?

      • J Lapis says:

Oh Yes, that helps greatly–as I was thinking it was a week-long. The extension will be great for folks in the USA, like myself. Thanks so much–this is fun!!
