Know Your Neighbours – Share the Love

Today I want to share some blog love, but first a confession;

My name is Nicola and I am a Followaholic.

I am a following junkie, I see a blog I love and I want more of it. That magical Follow button brings new and vibrant content to my eyeballs and I consume it in bitesized pieces at every opportunity. I read so many new posts as they ping into my inbox, it would be impossible to introduce you to all of them, but I’d like to tell you about some of my favourites.

Some blogs make me laugh and a few make me cry. Beware, if writing a blog post has been a labour of love for the author, reading them can leave you with a slice of their soul. It can haunt you for the rest of the day. Some are so personal the emotional effort it has taken to bring the blog to you is almost palpable.

On the flip side, there are the balancing blogs that entertain and educate, I love to come away from a post with a new nugget of information. I tend to head to blogs written by fiction writers, I shamelessly want to absorb their experience and knowledge. If only osmosis worked like that.

So, today I want to tell you about four of the blogs that I return to time and time again. I religiously click through when they appear in my reader because I need my fix, I want to know what they have to say.

First off, I would like to highlight today’s post from zaraelisethelms who writes about how the death of a beloved friend is inspiring her to write. I urge you to visit her blog and lend your support.

Richard Ankers fills my reader with delightful, insightful poems and short stories every day. Visit his blog, you will thank him. You’ll especially love today’s spider post.

Kathy’s An Old Dog Learning to Blog – her own words. Kathy’s a self confessed mature blogger and her posts will have you laughing out loud. She has a completely made up condition, her dream told her so.

Sue Vincent has a wonderfully inspirational blog about life, books and writing. You will be as gripped by her son’s real life story as her series of fictional creations. If you want motivation and inspiration, this is the place to go.

If you do visit any of these blogs, please leave a note to tell them you’ve been there. Tell the world about your favourite blogs – pay it forward and share some blog love today

    • Nothing is better than ice cream! Is it Ben & Jerry’s? Peanut Core is my absolute favourite!

      I hope you enjoy the blogs. I just realised I should have included yours too, I’m going to do this again so I’ll rectify my error next month.
